Incoming Emails – Scam Alert
We have received a phishing email from which claims a that there are “incoming emails waiting” and the account needs to be “verified”. It resembles CPANEL /WEBMAIL type alert but this is a Phishing Scam because :-
- Sender – not genuine
- Links – all link to a suspicious website
- Salutation – not from a real person
- Sense of Urgency – a telltale sign that the email is not geniune
Recommended Action – Make your team aware of this type of phishing scam through education but delete the email.
